Coming Out: An Interactive Story
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Coming Out: An Interactive Story walks you through a few different scenarios in which the player has to come out. For the sake of being inclusive, the player is coming out as queer.
There are 8 different endings, each based off of whatever path the player takes. For each path, (except for the dog and cat path because they are lovely animals that don't judge us) the player can decide if they want the person/people to be accepting or not. From there, a basic story takes place.
Coming out is never easy. From figuring out the right setting, to finding the right words to say--coming out is super complicated and messy. This game just scratches the surface at how it feels to come out. This game by no means fully grasps the topic of coming out. The last thing I want is for this game to make it seem like coming out is straight forward (pun intended). I hope this game can bring some comfort to those thinking about coming out! YOU MATTER!
Please feel free to share your feedback, I would love to know how I can improve!

I'm blind it took me 2 years to learn how to use my devices independently. I love gaming but often there's not any or many accessible games I can find and play. I was just wondering since it doesn't say anywhere if there's accessibility options on the game after you download it? 100% OK if there's not but I just wanted to ask before downloading. Even if it's not accessible I'll look for a let's play of it on YouTube so I can experience it that way as well. The game sounds amazing and I definitely do want to play or experience it in some way. Please reply when you can. Thank You!
Thank you so much for somehow stumbling onto my very first game! Coming Out: An Interactive Story has voice assist! Press the V key to turn it on (although I will say it's a bit annoying to hear my username over and over again :D)
Thank you so much! I appreciate you replying, and also explaining the accessibility options to me. Thanks for thinking about accessibility as well. Most people don't even consider it. also no worries about the username being annoying lol.
Hi! I really liked this.
Thank you so much!
